Abstract

Unsafe sexual behavior remains a serious reproductive health problem in Indonesia because it can increase the risk of unwanted pregnancy, transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and impact an individual's physical and mental health. Modern family planning users play a crucial role in fostering healthy and responsible sexual behavior. However, many still do not understand the importance of safe sex, particularly the correct and consistent use of modern contraceptives. Lack of education from health workers, particularly midwives, is a contributing factor to this low awareness. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of modern family planning users regarding safe sex and encourage changes in attitudes and practices in maintaining reproductive health through outreach in Bonto Sunggu Hamlet, Pucak Village, Maros Regency. The implementation method includes health education, explanations on the use of modern contraceptives, and basic health checks such as measuring vital signs, pulse, temperature, and respiration. The activity results showed increased participant enthusiasm, positive support from the community, and increased knowledge of family planning users regarding safe sex and preventing reproductive health risks.
