PENCEGAHAN KEPUTIHAN PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI SITUASI PRA KRISIS KESEHATAN DI DESA PUCAK KECAMATAN TOMPOBULU KABUPATEN MAROS

Abstract

Vaginal discharge is the release of fluid from the genital tract other than blood, which can be physiological (normal) or pathological (indicating disease). Based on interviews with adolescents in Pucak Village, Tompobulu District, it was found that most of them lacked adequate knowledge about the prevention of vaginal discharge. This condition became the basis for implementing a community service program focused on improving adolescent reproductive health awareness, particularly regarding the prevention of vaginal discharge. The activity included health education sessions and basic health checks, such as measuring blood pressure and pulse rate. The aim of this program was to prepare adolescent girls to maintain reproductive health independently, especially in pre-crisis situations when access to medical services is limited. The results showed an increase in adolescents’ knowledge and awareness of vaginal discharge prevention. This educational intervention is expected to promote healthy behaviors and encourage early prevention of reproductive health problems among adolescents.
