Burns are a serious health problem that can cause high morbidity if not treated properly. In Indonesia, the prevalence of burns was recorded at around 2.2% in 2008 and decreased to 0.7% in 2013. In a hospital in Makassar (Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital), during 2006–2009, 102 cases of burns were recorded with a mortality rate of around 9.2%, and this figure increased in 2010 to 17.2%. This community service activity aims to improve the community's knowledge and skills in conducting range of motion (ROM) exercises and burn care in the Batua Raya Community Health Center, Makassar City. The methods used were counseling using PowerPoint and leaflets, demonstrations of range of motion management procedures, burn care, and interactive discussions with participants. The results of the activity showed an 80% increase in knowledge after the education, the community's skills in conducting simulations were in the good category, and mastery of the material was also assessed as good with high enthusiasm in the discussion. This activity has proven effective in increasing community knowledge and skills, and is expected to contribute to preventing complications and reducing mortality rates due to burns.
