Abstract

Knowledge of pregnant women regarding stunting prevention during pregnancy plays a crucial role in optimizing child growth and development during the first 1000 days of life. According to Presidential Regulation No. 72 of 2021 on the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction, the Indonesian government aims to reduce national stunting prevalence from 27.7% in 2019 to 14% by 2024. The 2022 Indonesia Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) reported a national prevalence of 24.4%, while Central Kalimantan recorded 27.4%, ranking 14th among 24 provinces, with a target reduction to 15.38%. This short training program aimed to enhance pregnant women’s knowledge of stunting prevention at Tamalanrea Health Center, Makassar, through PowerPoint-based education. The training included material delivery, discussions, and interactive question-and-answer sessions. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge of stunting prevention, which is expected to contribute to positive behavioral changes in nutrition and improved maternal and child health outcomes in the future.
