Background : Orthopedic surgery is a surgical procedure performed by an experienced orthopedist or orthopedic surgeon to treat musculoskeletal problems affecting the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments caused by accidents, trauma, injuries, or other chronic conditions. Orthopedic surgery can also correct problems with the nervous system connected to the spine, congenital abnormalities, and musculoskeletal problems caused by aging. Methods of the review articles report the intervention will be used to reduce pain of bone pain patients published between 2006-2018 are eligible for inclusion. Randomized and non-randomized controlled trials, as well as studies applying the designs are included. Results : 6 studies met the criteria for inclusion in the review. The type of intervention used is the provision of music therapy on reducing pain of patients orthopedic surgery. The results of a literature review identified that the effects of music therapy were effective on reducing pain scale of patients with orthopedic surgery. Conclusion : Several studies have concluded that music therapy is used to reduce pain scale of patients with orthopedic surgery. And some studies have insignificant results and advocate for further research related to music therapy for pain patients.
