Hubungan Intensitas Penggunaan Gadget dengan Keterampilan Sosial Anak Usia Sekolah di SD Garuda Makassar

Background: Gadgets are one of the results of technological advancements that have transformed the way humans communicate by overcoming the limitations of space and time. The use of gadgets among today's students is a necessity, such as cell phones, tablets, and laptops. One negative impact of excessive gadget use can lead to developmental problems in children, such as delays in motor skills, language, and social behavior, which have been increasing recently. Objective: to determine the relationship between the intensity of gadget use and the social skills of school-age children at UPT SPF SD Garuda Makassar. This research method uses a descriptive correlation design with a cross-sectional by distributing questionnaires to collect data. Results: the study showed an insignificant value, namely p = 0.658 > 0.05. Conclusion: there is no relationship between the intensity of gadget use and the social skills of school-age children at UPT SPF SD Garuda Makassar.
