Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat Tentang Kesiapsiagaan Menghadapi Kebakaran Di Daerah Padat Penduduk Kelurahan Antang Kecamatan Manggala Kota Makassar

Abstract

Background: Based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Indonesia records thousands of fire incidents every year, with densely populated settlements being the most vulnerable areas. Purpose: This study aimed to describe the level of community knowledge about fire disaster preparedness in densely populated areas in Antang Village, Manggala District, Makassar City. Methods: using cross sectional or cross sectional methods. The sampling technique was: Probability Sampling with the sampling method random sampling using 67 samples. Instrument: using a questionnaire 25 questions with all valid results with a reliability value above the value of r table. Data analysis using frequency distribution and percentage. The results showed that the majority of respondents had sufficient knowledge (38.8%) and sufficient preparedness (40.3%) regarding fire disaster preparedness. The conclusion is that the level of community knowledge about fire preparedness in densely populated areas needs to be improved through education and socialization.
