Background: Hypertension requires simple, low-cost adjuncts to improve control. Objective: To assess the effect of finger-hold relaxation on blood pressure. Methods: Quasi-experimental nonequivalent two-group pretest–posttest design; 30 adults with hypertension (intervention n=15; control n=15) recruited by purposive sampling. The intervention group practiced finger-hold relaxation; the control received health education. Systolic and diastolic pressures were measured by sphygmomanometer. Between-group differences were tested with the Mann–Whitney U test. Results: The intervention produced greater reductions in systolic and diastolic blood pressure than control at post-test (p<0.001). Conclusion: Finger-hold relaxation significantly lowers blood pressure and may serve as a practical, low-cost adjunct to standard care.
