Abstract

Stroke is a cerebral circulation disorder that causes sudden neurological deficits as a result of ischemia or hemorrhage of the cerebral nerve circulation. According to SIKI for Interventions that are appropriate for Nursing Problems of Self-Care Deficits is Oral Hygiene Treatment using Betadine Gargle and is a class of independent nursing actionsThis study used a qualitative descriptive case study design with a single case design method to explore Oral Hygiene Treatment measures using Betadine Kumur who experienced Non Haemorrhagic Stroke (NHS) with Self Care Deficit Nursing Problems in the Nursing Room of Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar. Participants were 1 patient who experienced a Non Haemorrhagic Stroke (NHS) with nursing problems Self Care Deficit for 3 days Oral Hygiene Treatment was carried out using Betadine Rinse to provide comfort and healing to patients. The results of the evaluation of this study are that after the Oral Hygiene care intervention was carried out using betadine mouthwash for 3 consecutive days in patients with nursing problems. There is no bad breath (1), the client feels comfortable in the teeth and mouth (5), the teeth and mouth are starting to look clean (5), the lip mucosa is improving (5) and the client always maintains oral hygiene (5).
