Abstract

Patient safety has become a global issue that is very important to be implemented by every health service. At Bahagia Hospital, 44 health workers (74%) out of a total of 59 health workers said that they had implemented patient safety at the Bahagia Health Center, but had not correctly understood the patient safety indicators implemented at the Hospital. The purposes of this research are (1) to identify the knowledge of health workers at the Bahagia Health Center in Makassar City regarding the implementation of patient safety in 2022, (2) to know how health workers implement patient safety, (3) to analyze the relationship between the knowledge of health workers and patient safety. The results after being analyzed using the Correlation Test, the results obtained are 0.003 meaning <0.05, then H0 is rejected or there is a relationship between the knowledge of health workers and the application of patient safety at Bahagia Hospital, Makassar City. It is hoped that hospital agencies will further increase the knowledge of health workers about implementing patient safety.
