THE RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DYSMENORRHEA AND THE TREATMENT OF DYSMENORRHEA IN ADOLESCENT WOMEN MIZANUL ULUM ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL SANROBONE KAB. TAKALAR IN 2022

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a medical condition that occurs when a woman is menstruating, where it can interfere with activities and require treatment. Dysmenorrhea is also characterized by pain in the abdomen or pelvis, menstrual pain that is crampy and centered on the lower abdomen, (90%) women experience dysmenorrhea with 10-15% experiencing severe dysmenorrhea. The incidence of dysmenorrhea in the world is very large, on average almost more than 50% of women experience it. Have a high knowledge of dysmenorrhea such as the understanding of dysmenorrhea, the age that often experiences dysmenorrhea, the degree and causes of dysmenorrhea so that action can be taken to overcome dysmenorrhea at the Mizanul 'Ulmu Sanrobone Islamic Boarding School, Takalar Regency in 2022. To know the relationship between the knowledge of young women about dysmenhorea in students Mizanul 'Ulmu Islamic Boarding School, sanrobone kab.Takalar  in 2022. The type this of research is an analytic survey using a Cross Sectional Study design. The population and sample are 40 students using the Total Sampling technique. The primary data are processed using  computer programs ranging from editing, coding, and data entry. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. From the results of statistical tests using the chi-square test (Fisher's Exact Test) that has been carried out, the value of p = 0.000 < value of = 0.05 means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between the knowledge of adolescent women about dysmenorrhea and handling of dysmenorrhea in students Mizanul 'Ulmu Islamic Boarding School, sanrobone kab.Takalar  in 2022.
